The differences between volume and the complete headset
When you would like to add volume to your hair with hair extensions, the length of your hair stays the same. The extensions will be cut on the same length as your own hair. With a complete Headset longer than your own hair length, you will create a new longer length also more volume.
Question: I would like a complete set of extensions and also some volume.
Answer: With a complete set you automatically get more volume.
Question: I would like to add volume to my hair and the length should be a little bit longer.
Answer: With a volume you cannot make a hair longer because too few extensions has been applied.
How many grams of hair extensions do you need for a complete headset:
- If you have very thin hair and you can almost see through it, you will need about 80 to 100 grams of hair.
- With thin hair you will need at least 100 grams of hair.
- With an average normal thickness of your hair you will need between 100 to 150 grams of hair.
- If your own hair is very thick, it is better to use between 150 to 200 grams.
How many pre-bonded keratin or I-tip (bead application) extensions do I need?
Look at the weight of the Pre-bonded extensions in our online store.
If you want to apply a full head set and the client has a normal hair thickness you will need at least 100 grams of hair. You have to make a small calculation.
Example:
- If the extensions are 1 grams and you need 100 grams of hair, you will need 100 extensions. (1 gram x 100 = 100 grams)
- If the extensions are 0,8 grams and you need 100 grams of hair, than you will need 125 extensions. (125 divided by 0,8 gram = 100 grams)
- If the extensions have a weight of 0,5 grams you will need 200 strands for a complete headset. (200 divided by 0,5 gram = 100 grams)
How many tape extensions do I need?
The weight of our tape extensions is 25 grams per 10 pieces. Tape extensions should be applied like a sandwich of 2 pieces.
- To add volume you should use 10 to 20 pieces.
- Thin hair needs 30 to 40 pieces for a full headset.
- Normal thickness needs 40 to 50 pieces for a full headset.
- With very thick hair you will need 50 to 60 pieces.
How many weft bundles do I need?
The weight of our weft bundles is 50 grams of hair.
- You can use only 1 bundle of 50 grams to add volume.
- Thin hair needs 2 bundles of 50 grams for a full headset.
- Normal hair thickness needs 2 to 3 bundles of 50 grams for a full headset.
- Thick hair 3 a 4 bundles of 50 grams for a full head et.
How many Clip-In extensions do I need?
Our Clip-In extensions packages contains 100 grams or 200 grams of hair.
You can use 100 grams Clip-In extensions for:
- Volume.
- Thin hair.
- Normal hair.
You can use 200 grams Clip-In extensions for:
- Normal hair.
- Thick hair.
